Course Description:
This course satisfies the Texas State Board of Accountancy four-hour ethics course requirement for RENEWAL of all licensees. This course is NOT for persons who have passed the CPA Exam and need a 4-hour course in order to obtain the certificate. (If you have purchased the wrong course, email rita@jn-productions.com for an exchange). This course deals with efforts of the Board to teach CPAs to achieve and maintain the highest standards of ethical conduct. The course discusses ethical principles and values, ethical reasoning and dilemmas. Cases regarding these areas are covered. It also explains the issues, developments, and problems addressed by the Texas State Board of Public Accountancy Code of Ethics in detail. Cases dealing with current ethical problems are also included.
How this course works:
Click the link below to begin the course. After entering the user
name and password, navigate from page to page using the arrows at the bottom of
the screen. Throughout the course you will be asked to answer review questions
by clicking your answer on the screen. Answers and evaluative feedback are
given for each question.
The course does not save your place when you exit. When
re-entering the course you can go directly to any page by using the drop-down
page titles at the bottom of the screen. This function can also be used for
reviewing the course before taking the final exam.
Final Exam - A link to the final exam is found at
the end of the course. A score of 70% is required. Your certificate of
completion will automatically display on your screen for printing. If you are
unable to print your certificate immediately after taking the test, then save
it to a print file on your computer.
